Just wanted to give you an update on how things are going. The transport from Naples was excellent arriving at the square close to the hotel 5 minutes ahead of the advised time and drove us in a Mercedes to Mt Vesuvius where he left us to do the walk to the summit. The staff at the hotel are really friendly and helpful. We skipped the first day's walk and explored Amalfi and Positano instead as the temperature was unbelievable but we have done the " Walk of the Gods"which was spectacular scenery and today have walked to Ravello from Amalfi and then back down .Overall the location in Agerola has been fantastic as we have been mixing with locals but can easily access the tourist spots. Also July is incredibly hot to walk but the mountains are much more pleasant than the coastal towns. We have been to the 2 restaurants you recommended in Montepertuso and Ravello and they were fantastic excellent food and service at both. Particularly theRestorante Scirocco in Montepertuso as they opened early for us and the owner spoke great English and was extremely hospitable. Today's visit to cummpa Cosimo in Ravello was terrific as the food was superb and we saw fantastic write -ups on the wall from the Washing Times and the English Daily Telegraph there was also a signed note from Henry Winkler so we knew we were in good company. Amazingly while I am writing this Georgia from Mandala Tours has just phoned to check on how the holiday has gone .Although we don't have her email address my husband spoke with her and complimented her on the arrangements and info for the walks. Would you mind forwarding this email on to her as we are touched that she took the time to check on us. Many thanks for a great holiday Kind regards,
