Waymarking on Via Francigena
The last section of the Via Francigena. The countryside and the sheep and cattle will lead you from the fortified town of Viterbo to St. Peter Square, the official end of the Via. Thanks to the Sutri Monumental necropolis and the "via cave" you'll have the opportunity to know more about the Etruscan, a mysterious population that lived in the area before the arrival of the Romans. In the last part of your journey you'll follow the stream of the Tiber river until the Vatican.
Highlights:
- The Etruscan culture and heritage
- The medieval neighbourhood in Viterbo
- Rome, the eternal City with St. Peter, Coliseum and Fori Imperiali.
